Mysto & Pizzi team up with Energizer and DUB Magazine

Whats good everyone. We have teamed up with Energizer and DUB Magazine to provide a beat for their new Freestyle contest. This is a really good chance for all the rappers out there to get busy on one of our beats and show what they got. All the details for this are @ http://www.myspace.com/energizer .

The winner will be picked by Chamillionaire and will perform with him on stage @ the DUB Auto Show Concert Series in Atlanta. We show you guys how we did the beat in the video, now its time for all you rappers out there to show us and energizer what you got.     Harlem & Xmoo: we did this beat last year around the same time actually, its 1 year old. It got leaked out :(. But yea anyway Energizer picked it for their contest and so we decided to show everyone us making it especially everyone whose gonna be joining the contest.

    Mike: yea you can get buzy on that, Pizzi makes beats on it all the time, you just need real nice VSTs. Or Reason, we got some bangaz made on that. We dont use the Motif for its sounds, we just use it as a midi controller like an Oxygen. if you dunno about VST, just google it = VST and Virtual Instrument in either DXi or VST format depending on what sequencer you gonna use. Sonar works with VST, DXi, and Rewire.

    whats going on homeboys. its crazy because i was lied to by a dude saying he was the head guy for refreancing tracks to rayan his name is Jay dont know if you know of him but he had tracks with rayan on them and everything everthing was offical but coe to find out . I teamed up with him for nothen its his home boy thats with the team ns .( the flim maker). anyway its alot into it but not speaking of it on here. other than that I love the tracks man fasure fasure.

    hey blitz

    its whatever man. Nowadays people can use any sequence, well the main ones like Reason, Logic, Cubase, Sonar…the list goes on, but all have Rewire and VST cpabilities.

    just find one that is most easy for you, and you find yourself liking the best.

    goto all the major sequence sites and DL the demo’s. Then get a feel for one specific one, and stick with it.

    basically whatever utilizes VST support and Rewire support are the ones you wanna stick with, because those wont ever change.

    So find one that is right for you…because its what you put into a sequencer!

    uhh no. making melodies and progressions are easy. makin drum loops are easy. mixing down tracks are easy. makin a catchy hit that alot of people like in mainstream, is NOT easy. thats why alot of people online post their beats that “sound good” but dont make the cut cause of the competition. these guys already proved themselves and proved themselves of worthy competition in the industry today.

    They’re not using Open Labs crap or Vst crap in most of their videos where they’re making major label beats. I guarantee that those are Yamaha Motif sounds 90% of the time.     got the keyboard around 2002-2003, used its sounds from then till about 2006 when we switched to VSTs, never went back, Motif sounds are outdated now, VSTs are the future

    I would guess that you are a DJ who will never afford Open Labs and have probably never used it. You probably have seen other producers, who don’t know how to use a computer, using Open Labs and defend it because of this. Vst’s are fine. The sounds in the Motif are the most inspiring sounds in any keyboard on the market. Open labs is for producers who have a lot of money and who don’t play the piano and don’t know how to use VST’s through a regular computer. Thanks for being you : )

    I think they used the Motif as a controller for the VSTs that they’re running through Sonar 7. Basically programs on their computer are creating the sounds and the Motif is just triggering them.
